These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Talk2Jesus mobile application ("App") developed and published by 2WAI ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Talk2Jesus is an AI-powered spiritual companion application for iPhone. The App uses on-device artificial intelligence to generate conversational responses inspired by the King James Version of the Bible. All processing occurs locally on your device.

2. Important Disclaimers

Talk2Jesus is not a substitute for professional help.

The App does not replace pastoral counsel, spiritual direction, or church community
The App does not replace professional therapy, counseling, or medical advice
The App does not replace emergency services
AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies or misinterpretations of Scripture
The App is not endorsed by or affiliated with any church, denomination, or religious organization

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App
Users aged 13-17 must have parental or guardian awareness of their use
The App includes age verification in compliance with California Senate Bill 243

4. Purchase and Payment

Talk2Jesus is available as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store
There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or in-app purchases
All future updates to the App are included at no additional cost
Payment is processed by Apple. Refund requests should be directed to Apple through their standard refund process
Pricing may vary by region and is subject to change for new purchasers

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms of Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its AI models
Extract, copy, or redistribute the CoreML models, voice data, or video assets bundled with the App
Use the App for any illegal or harmful purpose
Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created religious counsel
Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App

7. AI-Generated Content

All conversational responses in Talk2Jesus are generated by artificial intelligence. While the AI draws from the King James Bible and is designed to be helpful, compassionate, and scripturally grounded:

Responses may not be theologically accurate in all cases
The AI does not have consciousness, faith, or divine authority
Scripture references should be verified independently
We make no warranty that responses will be appropriate for every situation

8. Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to Talk2Jesus. All data remains on your device. For complete details, please see our Privacy Policy.

9. Safety Features

The App includes safety features in compliance with applicable law:

Crisis Detection: On-device keyword scanning that displays crisis resources when concerning language is detected
Content Filtering: Output filtering to prevent harmful, violent, or inappropriate AI-generated responses
Break Reminders: Periodic reminders to take breaks from extended use (2 hours for minors, 3 hours for adults)
Age Verification: Date-of-birth verification at first launch

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, AI models, design, and creative content, is the intellectual property of 2WAI. Biblical text from the King James Version is in the public domain. The Talk2Jesus name and branding are trademarks of 2WAI.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 2WAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 2WAI, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in California.

For users in the European Union or United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and 2WAI, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
